Andrey Arshavin got the winner as Arsenal overtook Chelsea at the top of the table with a win over Bolton Wanderers.

Arsenal battled back from 2-0 down to beat Bolton and go top of the Barclays Premier League.

Owen Coyle's men - beaten 2-0 by the Gunners on Sunday - took a shock lead on seven minutes through Gary Cahill and Matthew Taylor doubled the advantage from the penalty spot.

However, Arsenal rallied through Tomas Rosicky's strike before half-time, with Cesc Fabregas and then Thomas Vermaelen turning things around before Andrey Arshavin netted a fourth to take the Gunners above Chelsea on goal scored.

Arsenal's Arsene Wenger felt his side's physical strengths came to the fore in the win over Bolton Wanderers.

The Gunners trailed 2-0 after a Gary Cahill strike and a Matthew Taylor penalty, but Tomas Rosicky's effort just before half-time proved crucial to the balance of the match, writes Stewart Coggin.
Cesc Fabregas made it 2-2, Thomas Vermaelen lashed in a third and Andrey Arshavin made sure of the points and the two-goal cushion required to send the Gunners to the top of the league.EVERY CHALLENGE

Arsenal have often come off second best in physical duels with the Trotters in the past, but Wenger felt his men measured up well to their opponents on Wednesday evening.
"I think we can (be physical)," he said in the post-match press conference. "We are certainly much more physically resistant. You cannot find a team better than Bolton in doing what they did tonight because they man to man marked, and didn't give us an inch of space.
"When they had the ball they kicked it to Kevin Davies who went for every challenge, then they went well for the second ball. They did that very well, so physically you are never more tested than against a Bolton team."
Bolton manager Owen Coyle has faced Arsenal in his first two matches as the new manager, and having lost 2-0 on Sunday, he felt the Trotters were worthy of a point at the Emirates Stadium.NICE LEAD

"I thought my lads were magnificent tonight, and we had a nice lead," he said.
"We've had two performances that have been of a high standard and there is a lot to be positive about. I felt they were fortunate to take maximum points from both games.
"We came and tried to take the game to Arsenal, but were undone by a bit of quality in the end."
On his side's hopes of avoiding relegation, he added: "I have seen enough in the two games to suggest we have enough quality and, if we work hard, we can survive.
"We have enough in the locker to get ourselves out of it."

Arsenal di puncak Liga Perdana Inggeris

LONDON: Arsenal naik ke puncak Liga Perdana Inggeris selepas bangkit daripada ketinggalan 2-0 untuk menewaskan Bolton Wanderers 4-2 pagi tadi.

The Gunners perlu menang dengan kelebihan dua gol untuk mengatasi Chelsea tetapi ia hampir musnah apabila mereka ketinggalan dua gol dalam masa setengah jam, cuma tiga hari selepas menewaskan lawan sama 2-0.

Bolton mendahului menerusi Gary Cahill sebelum Matt Taylor mengganda jaringan menerusi sepakan penalti.

Namun, Arsenal membalas satu gol sebelum rehat menerusi Tomas Rosicky sebelum gol daripada Cesc Fabregas, Thomas Vermaelen dan Andrey Arshavin memastikan kebangkitan mereka di Emirates Stadium.

Kekalahan itu meletakkan Wanderers di kelompok tiga pasukan tercorot.

Bolton hanya memerlukan tujuh minit untuk mendahului Arsenal apabila Cahill menemui gawang hasil hantaran Kevin Davies.Bolton mengganda kelebihan pada minit ke-28 apabila Lee Chung-Yong dijatuhkan dalam kotak penalti oleh Denilson dan Taylor menyempurnakan sepakan itu.

Tetapi Arsenal mengurangkan perbezaan gol pada minit ke-43 apabila Rosicky menemui gawang.

Gibbs to miss rest of season

Arsenal defender Kieran Gibbs is out for the rest of the season after undergoing surgery on his foot injury.

Left-back Gibbs, 20, suffered a depressed open fracture to his first metatarsal on his left foot during Arsenal's Champions League match against Standard Liege November.

"Needless to say I'm gutted - there's just no other word," said Gibbs.
"The other option to surgery would have been to wait and let the bone grow in my foot, but we didn't want to do that because I'd have to wait another six weeks just to have another scan.
"I'd run the risk of it carrying on into next season, and we don't want to do that.
"I'm now just looking to recover from the injury, work really hard and be ready for next season."
Gunners manager Arsene Wenger will at least have back-up for first-choice Gael Clichy in French youngster Armand Traore.
